Everybody wishes to have an everlasting love with his or her partner. To build an endless love, the procedure starts from the first day the two of you meet and make some arrangements to marry and live with each other forever. Not forgetting that there are some things that can really mark an everlasting love with, eternity bands really play this role by marking the day of eternity which is the most important for the couples. The bride and the groom come together for eternity and these bands really symbolise the love that the groom has for her bride. The couple is supposed to abide to some set rules of using the band since once the groom has decided fully to push the band into the finger or hand of the groom; it marks an eternal life for both of them and should be adhered to.

Just like the eternity rings, these bands symbolise purity and the bride adheres to the rule that she will not cheat to her groom as long as they live together. Cheating can happen in a normal intimidate relationship but when it comes to marriage in fact it becomes a nuisance for one partner to cheat. Many bride grooms prefer slipping the band into the finger of the bride while giving her a warm kiss which will be remembered for the rest of their life as long as they live together. This shows that the bride and the groom have come together for eternity and the only way to show this is just for the groom to take the responsibility and buy the most beautiful band for her bride.

It should be noted that these bands come in different styles and colours. The groom is supposed to look for the best colour and probably get assistance from her bride to choose the most enticing band that will catch the attention of everybody in their wedding. Some are made up of gold and diamond and these are really expensive since they cost more than $250 excluding the shipping cost since most of them are imported.

The Future is Now For Touch Screen Phones

Touch Screen Phones are becoming increasingly common in the mobile phone industry. While touch screens still have not been widely adapted for use in computers as the technology remains cost prohibitive for the larger screens, they are almost common place for mobile phones. A growing number of cell phone models feature touch screens.

With any new technology there will always be naysayers who make claims like that touch screen phones wear out faster than traditional phones or those that still prefer physical keys to press. No matter how skeptical they may be, the truth is that touch screens are built to last and are here to stay. More advanced and durable materials are being developed for use in every new generation of touch screen phone. From the screen resolution to their resistance to smudging or scratching, everything has been improved. One of the things that allows a touch screen phone to do what it does is the operating system that it runs on. This software is what makes multi touch gestures so efficient and easy. Through the flick of a finger or fingers we can move images or zoom them in or out.

Even styluses are becoming obsolete as the accuracy of finger stroke recognition has been improved as well as the smudge free glass on the touch screen phones.

Not all cell phone companies have totally eliminated the use of a physical keypad like the RIM Blackberry smart phone series, although even they incorporated touch screens in some models. Blackberry phones were once the leader in smart phone sales but lost ground fast after the introduction of touch screen phones like the Apple iPhone. In an effort to compete they have had to adapt more entertaining features to their cell phones such as the BlackBerry Videos. Blackberry remains strong in the business sector thanks to their simplicity, corporate feel and higher level of security.

Some people still feel more comfortable having a physical keyboard in addition to a touch screen. This gives them a sense of security by having an alternate means of input should the touch screen technology should fail. However touch screen technology has been in use for almost 30 years now, and in that time seen many great advances especially in recent years. Many users in fact have been overjoyed by the possibility of the physical keyboard becoming a thing of the past.

Each year more and more devices feature touch screen technology making them almost ubiquitous with widespread use bringing manufacturing costs down. It is almost certain that with the continued development of the technology by mobile phone manufactures and software engineers, touch screen phones will become standard issue and see many new and exciting features coming soon.

Not only is it a little on the expensive side, it is fairly costly to have repaired should it get damaged. Sony Considering Possible Film Deal With Social Network

 Source from: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com
NEW YORK -- Sony is looking at the possible distribution of films via social networks or other methods similar to a Facebook-Warner deal announced this week, according to an executive.
Speaking Wednesday on a panel at the 2011 Media Summit New York, hosted by Bloomberg and produced by Digital Hollywood, John Calkins, executive vp global digital and commercial innovation at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, said such social media distribution could prove to be interesting.
"Our view is that Facebook certainly is a very viable pool, large pool for access for people that are interested in media content," he said when asked about the Facebook-Warner deal.
Asked if Sony will do such a deal, too, Calkins replied: "We're looking at things like that."
Trying to sell a film rental on Facebook like Warners is doing with The Dark Knight could help reach beyond existing fans of a film or franchise, Calkins argued.
"I think it's a great first step to begin what eventually turns into more social distribution of titles to people that maybe weren't already fans," he said. "So, it's both marketing and distribution."
In that context, he argued: "Why are we running theatrical trailers without 'buy' buttons? I think at some point that starts to happen."
He and other panelists suggested that major social network-based film offers will not become a big focus for studios overnight and that most of their benefit is likely to come following the DVD release of a movie.
"What we are really most excited about Facebook for is that resurfacing of a title, maybe recent or old, when our marketing budget has subsided, but now we can turn it over to consumers and in effect use their marketing budget," Calkins said. "A few weeks into DVD, we really don't talk about the title anymore. ... If you can have fans do that through something like Facebook, it's incredibly powerful. So, we like the idea. I think it's just very early days."
Discussing premium VOD film releases that many studios are planning to trial this year, Calkins suggested that the retail DVD business is the part of the film business that will be affected most -- not the theatrical window. Theater operators have expressed concern that premium VOD releases could come too soon after a film's theatrical start.
Calkins also shared some thoughts about Netflix -- one of the big recurring industry topics these days.
Asked about the biggest consumer lesson he has learned in the last three months, he said: "For me, it's the value of convenience. I think you can only look at Netflix's subscriber uptake and the astonishing rate of growth they have had and chalk it up to convenience."
He then referenced the popular industry mantra that content is king. "As much as [we] would like to say content is king ... all the innovation that they are bringing is really not [tied to] the specific content owner, but it is the convenience and the access and recommendations."

Sony Handycam HDR-TD10: Two Lenses, Two Sensors, and Glasses-Free 3D

Source from: http://www.pcworld.com
Sony claims that the new Handycam TD10 is the first consumer camcorder to offer two lenses, two imaging sensors, and two processors to deliver full HD 3D footage in both the right and left visual channels. The only similar consumer camcorder at this point-Panasonic's HDC-SDT750K-offers a dual-lens setup but a single sensor, and it uses "side-by-side" 3D playback methods, which drastically reduces the resolution of each visual channel.
Sony claims its new camcorder offers superior 3D video quality, as it shoots left-channel and right-channel 1920-by-1080 HD video that's displayed in full 1080p resolution during playback. Instead of using "side-by-side" 3D technology, the new camera uses "frame-packing" 3D, which displays full-resolution video captured from each lens.
Adding to the camcorder's appeal is the fact that you can also view the 3D effect while playing back video on the camcorder's 3.5-inch LCD screen without needing to wear glasses. The TD10's screen uses parallax-barrier technology to simulate image depth when viewed with the naked eye--a method that's rumored to also be the secret sauce in Nintendo's glasses-free 3DS console. For viewing footage on a TV, however, you'll need a compatible Sony 3DTV and active-shutter glasses.
The camcorder definitely feels beefy in the hand, but it's kind of a nice departure from the ever-shrinking consumer camcorders of today. As long as you've got big-enough hands, its added weight and square, husky build feels like the tape-based video cameras of yore (yore meaning the late-1990s).
For 2D traditionalists, the Handycam TD10 also shoots full 1080p high-definition video out of a single lens in 2D mode, as well as 7-megapixel 2D still images. Switching from 3D to 2D mode simply involves flipping a switch on the camcorder.
The TD10 features a 10x optical zoom lens with optical stabilization, 64GB of internal memory in addition to an SD/MemoryStick combo slot, Auto-mode shooting when capturing 3D video, and manual controls when shooting 2D footage.
At $1500, Sony's 3D-shooting camcorder will cost about $100 more than Panasonic's 3D consumer camcorder. The Handycam TD10 is due in April.

HD TV and Online Video: Perfect Partnership?

On-demand media has grown as a trend for a number of years as has the power of online sharing. Sites like YouTube among others have been fundamental in the growth of on-demand video and content, as have digital content stores like Apple Computer’s iTunes service. HDTV were until recently used only for watching broadcast TV. The recent switch to the digital broadcasting platform by many media regulators led to the transition to digital video.

Viewing video online has become a popular and widely accepted way to access media over the last decade. The technology to deploy and host video has been developed and fine-tuned to meet the various hardware requirements often associated with the Internet. There are a number of reasons why online video cannot entirely replace broadcast TV.

The Cost

While online video is often free, the cost to access and enjoy online video without hindrance has significant costs to the average consumer. Although broadband internet prices continue to fall, the cost to stream and watch video remains high because the technology needed to implement it is not available.
The Hardware Requirements

Online video requires more hardware than the HD broadcast platform. The broadcast platform relies on a signal that is sent and received by a tuner built into an HD TV. Online video technology was written for computer hardware and has yet to be re-written to support TV sets. A number of HD TVs do support flash video and some online streaming services, but the technology has not yet become widespread. Most flash video and on-demand video uses progressive scanning instead of interlaced scanning.

Progressive scanning is an imaging technology that creates every line of the image being rendered in succession to deliver a smooth and flicker-free HD picture. There is another image scanning technology, interlaced scanning. For online video, progressive scanning is more ideal. HD TV allows both interlaced scanning and progressive scanning to be used alongside one another as most HD TVs display several HD formats including 720p, 1080i and 1080p.

Overall, online video is being integrated into HD TV sets to create a more interactive experience. There are a lot of steps that need to be taken to make online video more accessible. HD TV is the perfect partner platform for online video.

Deciding Which HD TV Features Are Essential

From the time HDTV televisions were first introduced at the turn of the century, many broadcasters and researchers have been testing and researching ways to produce superior image quality that would surpass that of analogue television.

HD is still very much in its developing stages, so there will be many improvements to come in the next few years.  More and more features are becoming common place, however, and it can be hard to tell which features are essential and which ones are not. With everything as it is in the world of technology, many HD TV innovations have been introduced into the marketplace. Some of them are major; some are not. In order to be able to tell which ones are important, you should first look at which ones don’t matter. Here are some features that are not always essential when purchasing an HD TV:

HD TVs with Wider Viewing Angles

A
s a rule of thumb, the best HD TVs with excellent angles are plasma HD TVs. LCD and LED HD TVs do not have good viewing angles beyond 120 degrees. LCD and LED HD TVs do not have great viewing angles in darker room settings. So, wider viewing angles on an HDTV, particularly one that has LCD/LED backlighting, may not always be a key feature to look for.

Better Color Gamut

While most HD TVs support several HD resolutions, being able to have auto color correction is a good feature.  However, the accuracy of having better colors isn’t always realized on most HD TVs. Most HD TVs will deliver their standard color settings and have user definable settings, but auto color correction may not be worth its price just yet.

Energy Efficiency

Today’s HD TVs are all energy efficient, although some include the symbol Energy Star that is associated with passing specified energy standards. LED TVs are obviously the most energy efficient, but in general, energy efficiency is very common and shouldn’t be used as a deciding factor unless you are purchasing an LED HD TV.

Other Features

Other non-essential features may include higher refresh rate settings. This is common on a lot of high end HD TVs. While the HD TV should be able to support faster refresh rates, its always the content source that determines the speed of the content being displayed.

The Power of Pocket Camcorders

If you love to take photos or share video, you will know that today there are many kinds of camcorders available, enabling you do to all sorts of things. The pocket camcorder is one of the most popular types of camcorders around. Since their introduction in 2007, pocket camcorders have shrunk in size, but grown in features. Today, many pocket camcorders come with features such as HD video recording, built-in internet video sharing and embedded software. Some models, like the Bloggie camera series, incorporate these features, while some camcorders boast other features such as rotating lenses. So there are a number of reasons why pocket camcorders are popular.

The first is probably their size.  This is one of the main factors, apart from the device’s internal capabilities, that consumers go for. Most pocket camcorders are pocket sized, but many are as small as a packet of cigarettes, so the majority of pocket digital camcorders tend to be about two and half to four and half inches in size. Anything that is smaller than this will most likely be difficult to operate.

But a camcorder’s features do matter.  Although it’s common to find pocket camcorders with HD video recording capabilities, there are many camcorders that have even more features on offer. You can find that some models will also have several functions similar to those of dedicated still or motion video cameras, but this is not to be confused. Pocket camcorders use slightly smaller camera lenses than those of digital still cameras, which enable their pocket friendly size. Anything that doesn’t fit snugly in your pocket is probably not a pocket camcorder but a mini camcorder instead.

Many people may have the perception that pocket camcorders can replace traditional cameras and camcorders, but this isn’t always true. Their pocket friendliness and compact features make pocket camcorders ideal for certain situations, but this isn’t always practical or ideal for every individual. Most pocket camcorders are tailored and suited towards consumers rather than the media savvy or serious amateur film-makers among us, who opt for top level media production.
Essentially, if you don’t consider yourself to be the next Hollywood director or aren’t too bothered with small details, then a pocket camcorder can prove to be an indispensible asset.

How Digital Video Formats are displayed on HDTV

High definition television, or HDTV as we know it today, has been around for the last decade. Its richly detailed picture resolution has been one of its biggest selling points, as has the widescreen aspect ratio that makes the viewing experience so engaging and powerful. HDTV content is often broadcast over the digital video broadcasting, or DVB, platform.  This enables HD broadcast content to benefit from a variety of features, which include enhanced access to electronic program guides or EPGs, additional programming languages and subtitle options. At an aspect ratio of 16:9 or 1.78:1 video format, the average HDTV screen isn’t as large as those in cinemas, which can have ratios of 1.85:1 up to 2.35:1. However, HDTV screen do provide a full screen image that allows users to become immersed in the whole viewing experience.

Some media companies use the 1.85:1. With a practical compromise between the needs of television and movies, the HDTV aspect ratio has been adopted by major players, including the DVD market, which is one of the major motivations behind the purchase of a HDTV.

Video playback is demanding, when it comes to resolution.  With most HDTV sets, the resolution is often native between the 720p and 1080p format, where sizes of HDTVs range from 27 inches to72 inch HD television sets. Most of these HDTVs are set to scale, or are capable of reducing video images to fit their standard HDTV resolution, typically between 1366 x 768 or the Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. The HDTV display quality has also put an end to distorted imagery such as grain and noise. The picture quality on most HDTVs is considered clear and detailed, or in other words, picture perfect.

There are several video formats that are used for HD content, which include the H.264/MP4, DiVX and WM9, among several other formats. Most of the formats can support the HDCP platform used to control how HD content is shared on HDTVs. HDCP, which means high-definition content protection, is a digital content protection technology used for ensuring that content, which is played over the HDMI port, is protected and can’t be transferred.

HDTV is suitable for digital and traditional video content as well.  Owing to its integration of support for previous and current digital TV video formats, it provides a more enjoyable experience for today’s viewer than in previous TV generations.
